I need a schematic for a 1999 GP1200R if anyone has one. I'd like a link to somewhere i can download a full manual if someone could PM me please. :)

Are you sure it's for a 99 GP1200R and not a 99 GP1200 ???
The 99 GP1200R is a rare beast indeed (only 50 built) but they do pop up from time to time.

Anyway, all that info is over on Greenhulk.net .

I believe the GP has no power valves. GPR has power valves. Easy way to tell the difference. Other than two different hulls.

Both have powervalves and the same hull, it's the GP760 that doesn't have power valves. Anyways none of that matters. I'm just looking to see if a multifunction gauge from a 99 GP800 will work in a 99 GP1200.

the gauge should be the same

Yamaha specs two different part numbers though.

Only difference I can see from the wiring schematics is that the GP1200 unit has 4 extra wires. Two wires, (gy and R/B) form a jumper at the display and don't go anywhere except together, and the other two go inline with the start/stop switch, (R and R/Y). The GP800 has a CDI unit like a Superjet and the start/stop are tied in there.

I know I can rework the harness to make it work, the question is, can my potential buyer do it, or is he comfortable with me doing it? I just want the parts gone, i don't need to open myself up for returns or any liablity.
