Super Jet Goofy steering problem. Rn poll on an sn hull

Now running an rn pole with a rad dudes bracket on my 91 sn hull. Using same turnplate and bars from the sn pole, same rn sbt steering cable I've run for a few seasons. Had to adjust the cable at the turnplate pretty far out till it was almost out of threads but nozzle looked centered.

Go to the lake and I have ZERO steering to the left. Thing is that in the water looking down at the water the nozzle looks centered. Definitely looks like it travels farther to the right but it seems like I should have at least some input to the left.

Am I missing something here or do I just have to get this cable adjusted properly?

Grab the nozzle and turn the bars while holding onto the nozzle. See if you get any steering at all. It sounds like a broken cable internally. Happened to a buddy of mine on his SX-R. Turn the bars, the nozzle moved as expected, turn the opposite direction and nothing but you could push the nozzle with no bar movement. It was just the broken end inside the sheath on the bars side pushing on the rest of the cable to look like the steering was fine.

You’ve got too much cable on your nozzle side.

Thread your cable attachment in a 1/4” or so, keep
Your bars straight and then adjust your nozzle to match your bars. Easy fix.
