Good Deal?

Hello! I have been riding kawa's for a couple years now and want to step up to a real stand-up ski. So a buddy of mine has his 1998 SJ for sale and hes asking 2800, but he told me he would come down on price a little. Hes the second owner, its pretty low houred and has factory B pipe, ride plate, intake grate, solas impeller, 46mm mikuni carbs, head, and couple other lil things. The ski only has a few lil scuffs and it has stock paint job. So what do you think? Good deal?

EDIT: Its always been stored in a heated and cooled shop.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me, especially if he lowers it a bit for you.

Well i talked to my buddy and he said he would let it go for 2650 (he was asking $2800)

I'm a Motorcycle/ATV mechanic by trade. I have rebuild about 20 JetSki and Seadoo engine's so i know a little about PWC's, but have only done work on the 4-stroke Waverunners so i have never work on a 701, i hear there very reliable.
Anyways my question is: Is there anything special I should look out for?
