New crank seals and reeds would be a good idea. If it has the stock metal reeds, they definitely gotta go!

Ill check it out when I get it, but reeds are a necessity if im building a mild freestyle motor? All I know is the 550 piston port motor so the yamas and reed engines are very new, im gonna need some help on the rebuild this winter.

More like insurance... "if" the metal ones go = trashed engine. Carbon or fiberglass reeds... no damage (hopefully).
