FX-1 Glue/ hardware for Ride plate mounts?

Does anyone know what holds the metal rideplate mounts to the hull?

I want to shorten my hull in the rear, and I was thinking of mounting them the rear most ones back to the hull after I cut it off. Is it simply glued on or is there hardware on the inside of the hull?

My plan is to re-mount them and drill new holes in the plate, and somehow plug the old ones.

See my build thread for details, I've done the very same thing you're wanting to do.

in addition to what matt said, there is a brass insert that the green glue is holding down. The only way to get to it is to cut a hole in the tray.

the rideplate mounts are bolted to the hull...those little brass insert pieces......there may be some green glue on the inside, but not likely

there's 2 bolts that go in laterally, then the rideplate bolt from the bottom

(the above mentioned answers are referring to SJ's I believe)
