I went out riding last Friday and Saturday and almost ended up with blisters. Do you guys wear gloves or is there a better grip to get than the stock grips that come on a '93 X2?

After riding all summer with stock grips and no gloves, my hands can take anything I can dish. Huge calises are the best protection from blisters.

Get both.

If you're not wearing gloves, it's pretty likely that you have smoothed out the surface of your grips. With new gloves and the friction of new grips, you'll be in great shape and won't be able to let go of the ski.

i use ODI rogue grips and wear gloves.

gloves are the best protection from blisters. youll still get callouses from wearing gloves though.

you have far greater strength when wearing gloves.

I dont have problems with blisters/calasses but I have often wondered about wearing gloves for protection. This past weekend I noticed a lot of guys wearing glove.... What styles/types are comfortable and durable.

I used to never ride with gloves and would get the blisters and just deal with them, but everyone kept recommending gloves so I gave them a try and I can't imagine riding without them.

this is a great time to get used to them with the winter approaching.

I have Thor MX gloves, they are great with the rogue grips. I wouldnt ride without gloves. Even if you hit your hand on something, you are less likely to bleed.

Slippery Gloves suck, I second that.
I too have a pair of the Jet pilot half finger gloves, Ive had those for SIX years, and they are sitll as good as new. My slippery gloves fell apart in less that a season, a season is what...four months around here?
Same thing with my slippery shoes, fell apart in less that a season. The only thing good I own from slippery is the pullover life jacket.

However, my favorite gloves tow ear when riding are dirt bike gloves. I had a pair of THOR or Fox or something dirtbike gloves with my jet pilot ones, I loved them and they didnt even pop a sticth.
...Then I lost them. But they were by far the best gloves I ever rode with and offer great protection and grippage, not to mention warmth. They were also the most comfortable on my hands.
