I still have one too (though I am trying to sell it). I just hate the ones over there that cry everytime somone recommends a standup or mentions anything about standups being better. They are like little timebombs just waiting to explode when someone mentions a SU. When I was a coucher, yeah it annoyed me too but I learned to just ignore it. It took me a while to realize a lot of you guys (and the SU riders over there) are cool guys with good intentions who like to bust balls. :headbang: Of course I also realized the truth behind it all - which is why I am selling my couch which I don't ride anymore :Banane01:

Bashing is a foolish approach, it makes you the basher, look imature. I say , kill them with kindness. Offer them a chance to ride one & see for themselves. Within a season, they will be looking to make a stand-up purchase.

We do group rides all season long. The sit downs are always wecome.
It's kind of funny to see the guys sitting & watching , while all the rest are riding, & flipping around......... pretty cool!!!

Here's a classic case in point. The wavejunkies from Va Beach. A couple of seasons ago, they were all sitdown riders. We invited them to several events & treated them with respect. They are really good riders & go way big on the sit-downs........... But they didn't get upside down. Now look at them today? I belive only one of the group has a sit-down. The rest all moved to B1's & stand-ups

When I first got into these pwc boards and all I was riding was a couch I posted some pics of the jumps I was doing in the surf. I explained that I was working on nohanders, kicking a leg out and trying supermans. I remember yamaslut posting how they looked good and to keep practicing. I think that one post had more to do with me getting a standup then anything else. After practicing and spending more time in the surf I decided I needed more of a challange and that's when I got my sj.

All I am trying to say is that I think Paul is right on with what he said.

Since I may be the only one without a standup on this entire site, let me say that there definitely is an almost arrogance among stand up riders, its like being a Christian and talking religion with a "born again". You just want to say, "I get it, you love God but so do we. We just go about it a different way."

Its, I think, the preaching down to that gets people riled up and with good reason. Nobody likes getting talked down to and a lot of people don't have stand ups for good reasons.

Anyway, let's just not bring that kind of crap to this site and listen to Paul, he makes very valid points.

Nothing was deleted, it's not in the moderator log which records everything no matter who did it.

I did get an e-mail with a SQL error this afternoon, I'll check it to see if it is related to this thread or if I can tell.

BTW, I think we've only deleted stuff like twice, and those were both fairly obvious why we did, and the first was even requested.

I can't find anything wrong, and I do remember reading Charlie's post---I had no problem with it really. There is nothing in the moderator log which records all actions like deleting/editting posts, and the log is functioning--I tested it, so I'm officially baffled.

Were there other posts after sfl's?

Thanks, I had an automatic e-mail about a database connection problem at 4pm, so I'm wondering if the server had a hiccup----I'll ask our provider if they had any issues. I wonder if any other threads have posts missing.

Actually we still have half the group on "couches"....Just the quite ones :sneaky: .

We have always had respect from the FL Sluts to the Jersy Magoo grew, and we have always gave respect :hail:.

We don't care what you ride, if it is a couch and you can get out of the water and respect our local laws, come on by and ride. It just about the air and going in style.
