Last season I went through 3 Antigravity batteries and gave up on them. My last battery of the season was an EarthX and it sounded promising with their battery management system. It lasted me about a month, then failed on me while in Havasu. Sent it back to them and they sent me out a replacement, they said it failed due to water intrusion. That was pretty much the end of last season for me. I started off this season running my EarthX warranty replacement from last season, it worked perfect, but I was informed by my EarthX dealer that they have a new water proof battery that they submersion tested, so they replaced my current battery that was working perfect for a new water proof one. I only got about 2 weeks on the new battery before it failed due to water intrusion. EarthX has been great to deal with, they seemed genuinely upset that it didn't last and they even took it one step further and did an air leak test on the new one and sent it to me 2 day express. Unfortunately this new one didn't last more than a month either, I haven't sent it back yet to find out what went wrong, but I'm going to be asking them for a refund instead of replacement.
I went to my local battery shop yesterday and I was going to just go back to an AGM battery, but the guy at the shop gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. I told him all about my problems with lithiums and he said I can try one of theirs and if it fails I can return it for a refund, no questions asked. He stated that AG and EarthX were failing because their batteries are probably just laptop cells that aren't meant for use in our application, especially with repeated starting. I guess Shorai makes this battery and Adventure Power markets it, so there is a big name behind this battery. It has a military grade case, which is way more than I can say for the flimsy others. The only bad part is that it's longer and taller than the other batteries. With about 5 min of modifying I still got it to fit my Cold Fusion micro case and it's still mounted in the back corner behind the exhaust manifold in my hull.
The AG and EarthX batteries used to have trouble turning over my 16mm, it used to take me about 10 min of warming it up, sometimes I even had to use a heater or heat gun to even get it to turn over fast enough to fire. But this new battery turns it over like nothing, it has wayyy more cold cranking power, so I'm already happy with it.
I know I was a big advocate for the EarthX, so sorry to the guys that bought the EarthX batteries based on what I said. I'll keep this thread updated with my results with the Adventure Power Phantom battery.
