FX-1 FX1 conversion 144mm

Ok so i started the pump conversion and nothings fitting the way i was told it would. First off the 144mm pump i have wont even come close to clearing in the pump cavity with the ride plate on (as seen in the pic) So i will need to grind the pump cavity area to make it fit, there for needing to reinforce it from the other side? I also dont know how to align everything from the shaft all the way back? I just need a lot more info before i go any further.

It's a combination of sanding away some in the pump area and a lot of people have to grind their ride plate at the pump high point. I'll see If I can get a picture tonight

I think you save time and work, if you buy a cheap sn hull for cut the entery pump and intake zone and fiberglassing in your hull, if you only fit the pump, intake cavity will be very small.

Or you can buy a fresh mold of a intake and pump cavity from the SJ that Tom21 is selling.
