FX-1 Fx-scream

my huge tank,ha ha

how did you manage to stuff the ltd in there?

look at the clearance between butti's tank and the pipe...thats a mod chamber

with a ltd. there's about 1" of clearance

you have to clearance the hull on the starboard side of the engine bay, as well as the forward part as well...the notch on mine is about 6-8" and could be a little more...its just the lip though, does nothing to the structural integrity of the hoodseal area

you will also need to trim your pipe to waterbox connection...by the time its in there there is about 1.5" between the end of the stinger, and the opening to the waterbox (stock roundnose box in this case...xmetal might fit a little better)

battery will fit in stock location, might have to trim the corner of the batt box off but not likely..

the last and key thing will really be to have an extra hand while doing it...you have to be able to push the tank down and twist it CW at the same time, and having someone pinch the exhaust tube at the same time will help..

nose foam fits and everything!

but it probably wont work for anyone else, so its definatly not recommended :cat40::bump:

Dude, Thanks for letting me try your FX last week. I forgot how the FX feels without the "tubbies". Your boat RIPS! could get used to it pretty quick (tried to buy one yrs ago). I didn't feel the prop spin too much, while riding in the white water it's kinda hard to tell.
Sorry about my idle & stuff, I always ran a zip tie for a lanyard (16yrs). Now thinking about letting other peeps try it out (it can be a handful), I decided to use a lanyard, but it doesn't shut off right away. So I turned the idle way down.

thank you!!!!

that means alot coming from an fxmaster

when I ride a kawi pumped fx right back to back with my ski, the F1 really doesnt even feel like an fx...it feels more like a minisuperjet..cant say exactly why, but it does...

going to prop up a degree and see how that turns out, I also have a 144 mag pump that im picking up in a few days to try as well with a big hub 12/17

i think I could have ripped up on your boat pretty good, but I literally had to restart the thing like 20 times...I never reallized how much I drop down to a complete idle out in the surf..

fx1's suck :noevil:

With the Advent ignition I'm running, the idle is around 1500-1600 RPM, then it stalls. The MSD enhancer has a more forgiving lower idle (smoother). I guess it's the nature of the beast...just another thing to get used to.

It's funny you mentioned the "handling" issue. There's 6 FX-Kawi conversion ski's that ride at our "cove", and there are only 2, 144mm based FX's. Those Kawi guys say my ski has somewhat of a "Superjet" feel to it...they don't like it. Whatever....I'm used to it.

yep..I think its the superjet SHAFT that gives it the feel...the setback pump is what cures the porpoising issue that can be had with a fx shafted pump..

I agree about your ski as well..it felt VERY similar to mine...in fact, the moment it pulled up on plane I figured it had a SJ driveline..

how much does the Ti mag pump weigh??

IDOK - I know you put the 144mm pump in your ski ......... just wondering if you opened up the intake cavity area at all?

Im considering putting in a 800cc big bore stroker in my 140mm pumped FX-1 ...... just not sure if its worth it?

I'm running a 785 flat top in one of my FXs with the 140mm Kawi pump and it's hooking up great. Pump is setup with a 6mm setback Skat 12/17 swirl and an R&D pump cone....FWIW.

Hmmm...Never weighed it. It came with a carbon fiber tail cone and felt a little lighter than the standard 144mm version (had the std. housing split from corrosion, glad I had a replacement!). You'll have to check it out more closely...next year. Let's hope the "global warming" comes into effect by then...

yes it is worth it, but I didnt do ANYTHING to this hull

this is a WDK F1 pro hull...Fx1 rip with a full superjet intake, driveline, pump EVERYTHING..including the improved body lines

the nozzle sticks out the back like 2 inches just like an hx due to the setback pump..

a blowsion 144 pump conversion uses a stock Fx driveshaft which is 2" shorter than a SJ shaft

I have no doubt this ski is as strong as mine is..and if not, it doesnt make any difference because YOU guys are the ones that tear it up the hardest and smoothest of ANYONE at the freerides...

special fx
wavehog
flash fx

anyone who doesnt inspire to do EVERHYTHING that you guys do has blinders on...from the fx mods to the freakin' bad ass 4x4 conversion vans to the perfectly nose down re-entrys EVERY SINGLE TIME

drives me nutz.

we know who has it goin' on :bow28:
