FX-1 FX-1 build

Honestly i don't care for footholds either but i love my tray length holds they give me freedom to move all around and feel locked in.

MCrider-

I like those. I would have probably done those but that tray was just too beautiful.

And this summer I need to drive up and ride with your crew.

Hornedogg- I like those straps. I figured my back strap would be placed similarly.

Btw anyone looking to install a tom21 wide tray, it is a lot of work. I mean a lot of work. You have have to trim and glass the bulkhead which is a ton of work.

Update time.!!!!!!!

Okay so I made a New hood liner. And 5200'd it to the hood. The 5200 job is shi.tty and I know it. I need to finish it. But the way I did it made that damn thing way stronger than stock. So I guess it works. I also blocked off 4 of the stock airholes. Next I finished glossing in the tray. I ran out if resin so I had to make an order to us composites. I need to lay one more piece of glass on the dash and then make up some thickened epoxy and smear it around the bulkhead where I glassed to make sure there are no pinholes. Otherwise I just need to clean up the glass work and sand this down really well and it will be ready for paint.

What should I do about this stud hitting my carb. The only thing I could think of was get a spacer plate.

That is next winter's plan along with carbon fiber reinforcement in the engine bay. Hell I may even add some rocker. Idk yet.

Old school bodybuilder? Let's see some glamour shots.

Tighten two nuts together at the top of the stud and see if you can turn it into the intake further. I'd cut it a little if not.

MCrider- that's cool I live 25 minutes from Michigan city.

95-

I meant 25 mm underpadding. My phone autocorrected it. You don't have to sand that down. If it is being turfed just scuff it with 36 grit

^ funny...i figured ur phone did that.....

it looks smoother in the photo....ill need a good sanding on bottom to get a good glue bond.....

the sides above and around my holds are crazy sharp!....need to hit them pretty good also

good nights work...have to finish setting my sponsons for a good seal also....seal up them mounting screw holes i put in the hull

Screws or bolts? 5200?

When I do mine I am going to use bolts. I don't want to use screws on my hull.

^ I didnt get much done myslef...but tonights another day!!

Good luck to ya tonight if this is another working ski day

i used 5200 to mount the sponson along with about 6 or so screw each side....to help with the bonding and since i wanted to ride it last without glassing them in...worked great...now its time to glass em and seal the holes from the inside and hit the bond line and all GTG

Finally I got this damn thing all painted. Once this last coat of white dries I can assemble and hopefully ride tomorrow night.

And that chinpad was the first thing I have ever turfed. It came out nice and hopefully the ski goes as easy as that did.
