I tried the x2 set up and it wouldn't clear the rideplate. Even after I ground out the ribs.

In that case, th X2 nozzle should fit just fine. I'm wondering if your pump is correctly located........the tip of the pump cone should measure 3-1/2 - 3-5/8" from the hull surface directly above it.

I'm at the lake so I don't feel like pulling it all apart but mine is 4.25 inches from the hull to center of the steering nozzle

So update time. I had installed a foot strap in a bad spot and didnt like it. So this winter I decided I would make my own foothold. After cutting into the tray I saw water. Poor job on the resealing part. So I installed some drain plugs from @JetManiac then I reinforced the gunwales since stock are kinda flimsy. Then I made some footholds out of eps. Glassed in the laminate and now just have to do the sides and then a few more layers in the tray. Then I got board with the stock length pole and cut 3 inches off of it. I also picked up a quick steer plate from @KTM434.

Anyways back to the update.

So I got my pops making me a new pole bracket and modifying a 550 aluminum water box to fit in there. I will have some pics one it's complete.

After electrical fits with my starter. I found out my crank seal is leaking so tonight I plan to tear the engine down and see just how bad it is

-Joker hows that widetray working out? Im interested to see how this 550 wbox turns out. Hows the wetjet black mamba pipe holding up?

Wide tray was good but not having footholds sucked. The pipe is great but I need to restrict the water injecting into the pipe. At lower rpms it dumps too much water and puts a minor bog on. Once it clears it rips the arms. I like it. And the top end Is pretty crazy.

I will post some pics of the water box tonight along with the engine tear down and what I get done with the glass.

Fixed it for you!

-Joker try a Jetworks flow control valve at your stinger or where the water injects at the waterbox. Don't stress over your crank seals replace them and know it's done and over with anyway on that used motor. Just make sure the seal lip are facing the correct way. FX1 FOR LIFE!

I got the engine all torn down.

Good news - don't need a crank everything looks brand new. Just need to buy a set of seals.

Bad news- rear piston is licoriceed. There are some missing pieces to it. I'm pretty sure the piston for a little too hot.

This motor has never been torn down. There is still factory sealant on the base gasket. You can also still see the factory cross hatching on the cylinder walls.

Well does she run? who takes a shiddy sideways pic...I see you can start and stop the ski, but how do you control the throttle? I thought we went over all this? gas is on the right and you must use the throttle to steer and you must lean at times..geez c'mon !
