Are my 48m Full Spectrums just 46mm Mikunis that have been bored out to 48?

Can I rebuild my own? Would I use a 46mm rebuild kit?

I spoke with Ed this morning, His wife has been Ill the past couple of weeks. He has been attending to her.
He has just begun to start returning emails & phone calls

All the Full Spec start life as 44's & then are modded to his spec.
As Tricky stated, all the parts from the 46 rebuild kit will work, but the plates. Ed's plates are a true 48mm & sit at a slightly differant angle than the regular SBN carbs.
You will need to confirm with Ed, but I don't belive he mods the OEM yamaha carb any longer.

I started this thread over a year ago.

I ended up calling Ed and even though he was swamped with Nationals approaching, he took the time to completely go through my carbs with me.

Seemed like a great guy.

Ed is a great help, if only other people knew and stood behind there as much as him

I spoke to Ed on the phone a few times after I bought my carbs from him. He is customer service all the way. He never acted like he was too busy to talk or like he was in a hurry. If you are having a problem he will help you figure it out. Great guy.
