Front Exhaust

I forgot!
its all about power to weight ratio, sometimes it is easier/cheaper to loose weight than make hp, i stripped everything that wasn't needed on my ski to better the ratio, once my ski is ready for next spring i will dry weigh it to see how i am, i reinforced quite heavily but used about 1/2 dow foam to fill in the hull when i refoamed so i used alot less 4lb foam to fill it. Dow foam will not absorb water at the same rate either, i used a RN exhaust tube to make circle dow plugs to fill in the void when i removed the stainless rear exhaust tube. i had to pound them in from both ends and then sealed it up, when steve did his ski (the camo) he only had to use one coffee cup of 2 part for each side of his ski to have it flow out, been holdin up real well for two seasons.

thats pretty cool.

i know i would get busted on the lake for that though. but simplicity is always the best.

but cracker you would be saving like 3-4 lbs with out the stock exhaust tube...

lol

btw any where i could get a stock rn outlet like that?

yeah i would like better hooks on the bracket end of my ski too, not sure if the holes would line up to bolt on and if where i put the hood side hooks would still fit into them.

Exhaust tube was like 3.5 lbsI forget the stock WB weight, but I think it was close to 6lbs vs XMW 2lb 2oz. so call that 3.5 lbs

thats 7lbs plus another 2lbs for the tray outlet. I think.

After I add my outlet and smaller hose I should be right around 8lbs overall.... Simple math realy.

If you want I can take some measurements and pictures tomorrow.
All I had to do was drill new holes in my hood the same height as original just a bit further away from center(3" out if I remember right).

don't forget the xmetal will hold less water in it too compared to stock.

i understand that the hood clips have to be moved. im just wondering if the 2 holes on my bracket line up to any set of hooks for the hood.
