Front Exhaust... Why?

Only reason I have found to run front exhaust on the stock waterbox is maybe it is better for tailstands...

For you guys that are running them: what have you found to be a benefit of having one? Maybe I am missing something....

I do see a lot of guys running them in all the videos I watch though...

Was the mod worth the cost???

To me the mod was worth the cost on my Freestyle boat...

On my Surf boat I did not wantt he noise or smoke in my face (for long no-wake zones) so I went with a side rear exhaust only, which should keep the exhaust out of the pump cavity when landing in the surf.

Also for deleting rear exhaust tube to widen tray, or run footholds further forward.

If you ride lakes that are medium to small I would not get it. Too annoying for any of the locals. I ride the same lake every weekend, I couldn't do it.

If you ride in the ocean or great lakes, than run whatever you want.

I may look into using a blockoff, for great lakes riding, convert it to either front and rear for big water, or rear only for my lake.

using 2½" exhaust makes it a less offensive exhaust tone too.

actually, I think Deblaster runs a single 2½" front only exhaust and he's not much louder than a stock ski.

mine is single 2.5" and it's not loud. I ran a waterline into the end of the exhaust pipe to muffle it though.

front exhaust also helps reduce backpressure, while starting the engine, with the rear exhaust submerged.

Rixter and D Slicker: How is the rear side exhaust at idle, and/or at slower speeds? Seems like there would be a lot of water restriction at lower speeds. I really like the look of that, was it a noticable diff from rear exhaust? Would you do it again? seems like a bigger project.

water restricition? as in surface drag? or do you mean backpressure?

if you mean backpressure, itd be no different than a stock rear outlet.

if you mean surface drag, thats WCFs boats are all being put together and there is no noticeable handling difference.
