So the drama, although fun for some, is a wound for all when it comes down to the growth of the sport, hobby, activity, and lifestyle. There are enough opponents to watercraft that it sometimes seems our days are numbered. It would seem this would be a call for unity over division merely for a difference in personal opinion. It all seems so senseless to lose a member when they obviously had a lot to contribute.

Even with the drama at a "minimum" for the site's own standards, I don't see why a company would want to advertise here.

are you really surprised paul?

it's the usual suspects involved in the usual drama.

what a coincidence.

You're assuming this is because of Charlie.

I don't even know why and I'm the one that he contacted about it and live 10 miles from him.

Honestly, who cares, he chose to leave and take his toys with him. Life goes on. If he wanted us to know he would have made a post saying "Hey, I am leaving.................".

So if people start dropping like flys "who cares"? That will not help the sport grow! I think if there is a problem it should be issued. Lets not let it become a domino affect.:banghead:

I do care if someone leaves, but I am not going to hold a gun to there head to stay.

My point is there is no need in all the drama........... He left for his own reasons, he does not owe us an answer, In time I am sure he will tell Darin why, but until then, lets try to make this site better.

I feel that companies don't have to like the X.
As long as they are selling product, that is all they are concerned with. Most motor builders and aftermarket Co's don't like to compare or tell in detail what they do, as it can be copied, questioned, argued by other companies.

Every sport out there has a forum these days with it's fair share of what could be considered to be 'buttheads'. I don't see many that could be considered better than the X in terms of a family site.

We are more of a family oriented site than PWCtoday, thanks to a very few users over there.

Is it still for the riders, by the riders??
Or, by the riders, for the companies?

honestly, this is just my opinion, If "Y" company comes where to check it out, and see's some of the BS and says, "Nope, we not going to advertise there or try to be a presense there because of the childishness or BS" then they are clueless, this is a message board where people are going to voice their opinions. IF they expect a message board that has members who dont voice their opinions and such then what do you have??? A herd of Sheep???

Well said, Kahuna. Some companies don't want to advertise on here, because they often get called out on their own screw ups. However, we all know that even bad publicity is publicity. Those companies that are always trying to do their best for the customers and are nice to people rarely get a bad post anywhere on this site (LPW, HydroTurf, XMetal etc etc etc). I think a forum like this helps the others get better. They might lose a customer here or there and send them to a company that is better, but in the end, I feel it helps them know what the customer wants.

I, however, am not into the name calling on here. If someone likes a product or a company and you disagree all you have to do is say 'I disagree', here is why. The namecalling is a bit uncalled for. Same thing with companies. Try to stick to the facts. Maybe people should have thicker skin, but if they don't they might leave. I for one met Riverrat in Lanier and he is a great guy. Very laid back and also VERY meticulous with his work on his ski. I think he should be able to post on here about products without being bashed for pages and pages. I hope he will take a break from here and eventually come back. I think SFL got what he wanted. Nobody saying anything good about Waterdawg parts.

My comments were not related toward business or advertising. You are missing the point. It's about how we treat each other as a whole. It's about respect?
How do you expect to be treated by your family or friends? Respectfully!!!
Same as all of us! But for some reason, once hidden behind a screen, that respect is lost? This enviorment shouldn't be any differant than your home or workplace. You should be treated like the indivudial you are.
Basicly, who cares if you ride brand X,Y or Z. or who cares if you ride a lake or Ocean, Sit or Stand. whatever?
Treat others as you expect to be treated. The rest of the world will start to respect us back............. That is what this thread is all about!!

Agreed 100%. met him several times: great guy and very helpful. Even worked on my ski while it was 70 degrees outside in november. Hope he comes back.

Good post, Paul. :hail:At the Freeride events, everyone is so cool and it makes the events awesome. I don't know why everyone can't be the same on here?.?.?.?.

It's OK to disagree with someone, or not like a product, but treat them like you would if you were hanging out together drinking a beer. Just because your at a keyboard doesn't make it any less real. Actually, it is harder to decipher sarcasm or kidding around from being an Ahole over the internet.

if you have advice to give, give it, be as some assistance.

if you have an opinion, we would like to hear it, diff views can help in many ways.

if you are reviewing a part, stick to the review, opinions, advice, questions.

and if you havent done any of these dont say anything at all :cool2:
