ok I started riding last year, finnally got my foot holds installed towards the end of the year. Now I want to add more power and prop.

So with B pipe, ADA head, and enhancer, how hard is it to tune the carbs?

This should net around 100 hp right?

What prop should I run with this set up?

Is the worx 201 the best grate?

Thats a hard ? to answer - tuning really is depended on your skill some people get it some dont.

That said that is a extremely common set up so tuning it should be relatively easy because you wont have to guess on jet sizes.

If you have dual carbs its gonna be a bit more touchy then a single but if you can get flat water and patience you should be fine.

Im not even getting into the hp thing :haha:

Worx 201 is a popular grate around here - I dont know if its the best but it works well for me.

The prop thing is a preference thing alot run skat swirl or solas 13/16 cutback concord

ya mines dual carb. 99SJ.

I got the 100hp rating from wammers site, all those parts in his freestyle set up said it be 100 hp.

Can I run that prop with stock motor for now? I'd really like to get the prop and grate in soon. I get alot of cavitation when its choppy.

You can run one of those impellers now, and it should help tremendously!

I like the worx grate too, not sure if I have the 201 or the 205.

they seem to work well, but I think any type of toploader grate would likely work well too.

The first step to re-jetting is to read and understand the Mikuni manual if you need a copy just send me your email address and I will be gladly to send you a copy.

someone posted up a link last year, and I read it.. Prolly could read it again. When you tune do you just need to rejet it, or do you have to change like the needle and spring and all that as well.?

The manual is the way to go. It breaks it down really well. If you can understand the manual, you'll know what your doing and why.

With just a b-pipe and head you need to just re jet .

For twin 38's you should be at 75 low 135 high 1.5 n/s and stock spring @ 95 grams .your setup may differ slightly

IMPROS.com is a good place for the impeller.

there are MANY other places that sell them and have good deals, and great service too, But I only personally have experience with Impros.

While I agree that reading the manual will help ,this is not that tricky .
make sure you have the proper bit size in your screwdriver when removing internal carb screws ,they strip easily .

Mark ,I would like a copy of that manual please .PM sent

Ok you need to print out the manual and take it into the bathroom for reading material. You really need to read and understand the operations of the carbs before breaking into them.

Take your time with this.
