(Stage 1)Got it spring 06, tore it apart once I got it and had it ready for summer. 93 square with a 650 basically stock. I wont list what I did but you can see by the pics. Worked great all summer however lacked Braaap and some other things. Flatwater rolls just not possible with this powerplant.

(Stage 2)Summer over, why not redo the thing again. Tore everything off except the turf. Engine out and mostly sold. Hood modded the right way this time, molded in gas filler door, getting ready to sand for paint. I did the fuel tank mod, to use the stock pickup hole for the filler and the pickups going into the side where the filler tube went into, looks sano. Roundie Pole, also a huge improvement.

Heres the motor specs, gonna build it in a few weeks: Stock Flame arrestor, single 44, Greater Yamaha head (35cc domes), Ported Cyl done by Jetskimechanic, Stock 61x cases, 6m6 crank, Factory Dry Pipe.

Ill post some updated pics in a few but it will (i hope) be done for Spring Break in Daytona, early March.

Just snapped these, Im not very organized right now but once I actually get a project finished it will come together. Notice the crazy grinding on the pole that I did for one ride this fall when I could have just ground the bracket like I did now, thanks to sflsurfrider, will work with our washer setup no problem. Im going to reinforce under the nose as well, probably not the sides tho. Thanks to Rob Bortolameolli for pole and the shop stand with wheels, comes in very handy. Engine is going to get cleaned before assembly, should I paint before of after??? Regular high temp engine enamal okay??? All black spray bomb.

Im getting the ski painted at a body shop I use to work at, Im thinking black base with silver and orange or red BIG metalflake. Should have some bling bling.

How does the Port work look, pretty normal?

Poor ski sitting outside right now before i sand soon.

Heres my parts cabinet and how does my hoodliner, I should have added some neon glow under it, jk. Should that hold up alright or should I reinforce the sides. Its pretty thin plexi bonded with liquid nails. Think my drypipe will fit??

looks like you got your work cut out for ya. You really should go through that parts cabinet and put all the "heavy not needed" parts in a pail and weigh it to keep track of the diet your going to put you ski on. thats what i am doing. Keep us posted on the progress.

front nose piece, fire putter outter holder tube, side rails, rear exhaust tube (metal and rubber) if you want to run front exhaust like all the cool guys, i also got rid of my blowsion coupler cover and went with the stocker, i got a pile of stuff like that weighs close to 12 pound which at least offsets the reinforcing i did. still my hull weight was approx 120 reiforced with the pole bracket still on and footholds installed and foamed. errrr thats pretty heavy so i am cutting out anything i can to get the power to weight ratio a little bit better.

oh yeah? you don't have any reinforcing yet either correct? my buddy's RN stripped reinforced hull with foam weighed in at 110 so i thought that i was on the heavy side which i am but if your at 117 then i don't feel too bad about the weight of my ski with all the side/ front nose reinforcement that it has done.

Don't forget that a little wet foam can weigh a lot...

Good luck on the build. It's good to see some square love every once in a while.

well i guess my square isn't as water logged and heavy as i feared, i refoamed last winter and used alot of dow but failed to seal up one of the rear pump bolt and it leaked some water for a few days out the pilot holes i drilled. i think my ski will be 10 lbs lighter this next season with all the stuff i am scrapping. i am going to weigh it as a complete ski when its done.

Carbs apart, stock on the 650 it has 120 low and 115 high speed jets, dull silver spring and needle with a black tip. Still trying to figure out what to run.
Got the head yeasterday from hangtime, it was on this engine before so thats good to know, theres a small chip in the dome, hope it doesnt affect anything and any idea if thats all the hardware I need, kinda weird setup.

Wel ive been doing a lil work here and there and finally shot some pics. 1 month till we go to Daytona March 1st, so time is running short. Ill be ready for paint in a week or two and I think im going a metallic yellow or goldish, my buddy whos spraying it says there some new paint out that gives it a bass boat look as far as the amount of metal flakes.
Started the engine tonight, dont have case studs or Cir clips so I had to stop early.
I reinforced all around the sides, and under the hand pole bracket, filled the bondline in with foam and just one layer of some thick woven cloth and I died the resin black, turned out real sweet looking like carbon.
Lots more work to come in the next few weeks.

looks good so far, you should just spray some clear on it and ride the ugliest ski ever! lol, what are your plans for the front stock nose piece or did you loose it already?
