I'm way faster on any four stroke, bikes or quads. I find they handle better and have more useable power.. But.. If you have engine problems It WILL get expensive. The reason i like the Honda is becasue of the unicam.. The less parts above the piston the better...

Now that is a good arguement!! I like the look and power of the yfz more though. May just pray that nothing breaks.

How many less parts are there on the Honda? One? The dual cam Yamaha motors are pretty darn simple.

I'd take an extra cam over rockers anyday.

since no one else said it. ktm. best motors out. you want to talk reliability. 24k miles on a 640 motard.

A single cam uses less space, so the head is smaller and lighter The Overall height of the Unicam engine is Shorter and help with center of gravity.They are said to put out more bottom end that the Normal Dual Cam. Also One negative is that the cam chain for dual cams is longer than for single cams and they weigh more. The increased length and weight means additional cam timing variances due to chain flexing. It's way more than just One less Cam

I ride bikes myself but I know a lot of people with quads. The banshee is the best quad I've ridden hands down and I've tried just about all of them at sometime or another.

If I was ever to get another one it would be a 400ex with 450 shocks and some handle bars and that is it! That is all I would ever need or could ever justify for a land couch again...400ex's are unbelievably bullet proof and light and plenty fast! And cheap for what you are getting IMO!

I've had several atv's along the way. 88' trx250r, 89' Lt500, 660 raptor, and now a 07' trx. Of them all the 88' trx 250 would scare the chit right out of you in a hurry! The quadzilla was a lot of fun at the high school drags and at the dunes, not great for the trails it was like driving a car. But overall the new 450 trx is the best , great power and handling. The suspension I hear is better on other models in it's class.

A Honda 700xx puts out 53hp, the Yamaha raptor 700 puts out 49hp, the Kawasaki KFX 700 puts out 50hp, Artic Cat Thundercat 1000 puts out 68hp, where as a Renigade 800R puts out 71hp. The power of the 800R V-Twin is just insane... It's sounds really good with the dual exhaust. Check it out ...

there is no best quad, only the one you like the best, the renegade has a purpose, it is alot like my polaris scrambler 500. both great trail and general fun riding quads. they have a sporty feel to them and the 4x4 gets you out of trouble and rips in the snow. the 600 pound weight makes then bad jumpers and even harder landers. they are a fun quad but not a sport quad. i easily pushed my scramber past its limits and started breaking it. I don't compete so to me the best quad is the banshee. it is fast, has AM parts galore and it looks cool. gotta love a 2 stroke.

For jumping I like the KFX 450... Nice alluminum frame with good travel in the suspension... with reverse. The Banshee's power band is fun... and there are a LOT of parts out there for em.

that kawi is a very nice quad, i only got to sit on it and not test it but your right about the frame. very cool design with a skinny dirtbike style seat and feel. it like sitting on a 4 wheeled dirtbike. it would be my 4 stroke quad.

I had a raptor with a bit of work done to it..it had nice power and was torquey and pretty snappy for a 4stroke it did about 78mph with stock gearing and 18" tires, it didnt handle that great compared to my banshee imo and it had alota lil problems. I personally love the powerband of a 2stroke and the sound of a piped banshee is the greatest. D-Rocs right tho the BEST quad is the one that does what YOU want. the yfz will be an awsome quad let us know how you like it

Well blew up the engine in the 1100 before I could trade so that's out. Seems lie the four wheeler is being put on hold for now
