shortening a SN hull makes it unrideable to me. personal preference
waterdawg REVs are the best foothold IMHO
reinforce the entire bond line
I would not do the scupper; if the boat turns over it acts as a vent valve and sinks the boat QUICKLY
run single bilge pump in flat water and duals in the surf
all my opinion, do some searching for other peoples!

scupper for sure for flat water. especially with the square hood. after a 3/4 roll i have to float around for a bit until bolth of my pumps can pump the water out. if i go for another roll right after, my prehop will splash water into the carbs and the motor bogs out goin up the wake. witch makes me only rotate like 90 degrees, slap the chit outa my head on the water and have a headache for the rest of the day. im not a fan of scuppers in the surf though.
