Found a 701 61x, with pipe on craigslist :)

Found this on craigslist :) Price was good enough :) Came with just the motor, pipe, and Ebox. Bendix is toast stator is a little rusty and so is the flywheel. Havent checked the starter... Cylinders look good and crank is smooth.

I need to find a good spare to build too....nice Winter project you found.....:fing02:

Thanks, dont think it will take much. Plan on ordering a gasket kit, seals, and possibly rings to freashing it up. Exhaust ports look like they were cleaned up a bit but nothing crazy... Think it was in a blaster, is this a blaster chamber... Think I will need a superjet chamber to fit in the old square nose...

I will be parting a B Pipe here soon with an old school SN chamber which has the bend on the end...

ohhhh pretty, looks like what I need, mine has rubbed through the hull twice already :frown:

I ordered a gasket kit last night with seals for it as well! Just need a bendix and check the starter!

Couldnt be a happy ending right :eek:uch:

Pulled head and broke a bolt, chipped the outside part of the casting in the process of removing it. Also have a stuck bolt in the exhaust manifold side :eek5:

Head is nice on the inside, cases look clean

Carb measures 48 mm on the top opening and 46 mm (i believe its set to mm) Its gold and looks alot like the wetjet 46 carb I hear about alot....

a stock 44 off a gp 1200 measures 46 on the top and 45 on the bottom...

Intake manifold had dual stage boyseen reeds, that being said they were chipped pretty badly but I have a brand new oem set I can use instead If I choose to rebuild.

humm to rebuild or to part off. I think a new or used cylinder would be a must. Crank looks good as do the cases and the sn needs some love sinces its empty right now.

Ebox was a little crusty but will make good spares

that is probably a non-OEM makuni 46. to get a wetjet carb on a stock intake manifold you have to elongate the bolt holes.

there is no other difference between those carbs.
