yup i started on the 550, man was that a sweet ski, then the sxi for 3 years and now i have joined the darkside. come on cowboy, it's better over here lol. but everyonce in awhile i like to rip the old 550. it will always have a spot in the corner of the ski-shack. :headbang:

I love a good running 550. You actually have to work to turn, they are a blast. But I too have joined the dark side, I found a huge difference in my abilities between the 550 and SJ. There was stuff on the 550 I had been trying to do all summer but could only get half way (Nosestab), I jumped on a SJ and was ripping it. I was doing full ones, but I was another step closer and felt more a chance to improve.

I think if I can master the 550, then it should be that much easier to do the same stuff on a SJ..... Plus, riding the 550 for another year lets me save up for a roundie!

word of caution for noobs to stand ups--- riding a 550 is much much different than riding a superjet. dont think that riding a 550 is harder its different thats all there is to it. you will gain some basic skills on the 550 but the learning curve for the superjet is a whole new game.
