anyone ever run a flow control valve between the head and the header pipe?
thanx.

If you're running a head with single cooling, this might not be a good idea.
What's wrong with running the FCV before the stinger inlet and restricting the pisser?

Weld a port in the stinger tee it off of the headpipe and restrict the headpipe as needed !
Limit the flow to the headpipe don't adjust both at the same time. I am just offering a suggestion to your problem I am not saying it is the cure just sharing thought's of mine with you. Good luck
thanks, and much appreciated.
limiting the flow to the head pipe takes away bottom end. trying to figure out a way to make it dump until upper midrange, then limit it while dumping at the stinger.
I'm thinking about getting another flow control valve and try somehow modifying it to act in reverse , or something.
That actually can be done fairly simple
It is pretty simple really have a check plate not a ball and drill port's around the outside of the check disc and as soon as the pressure or flow exceed's the capacity of the holes it moves against the seat overriding the spring and stop's the flow.
What about using another flow valve as a pressure relief valve in your head pipe circuit. This would allow more water at the lower r's like you want but when the pressure rises it opens and releases some of the pressure so as to not over flow into the head pipe orifice an kill your top end..
