typical of Tau Cetti flame arrestors! I gave up on em. They will warranty that if u ship it to em and then they ship u a new one back. IMO u need to have a back up set of TauCetti's on the shelf because you are constantly gonna have a set going back and forth in shipping.

I got 3-4 years out of a set, but it was the kind that had the carbon top. The newer ones with the Alum tops suck. I had a set, for about a month or so, the aluminum started to crack right off the bat. Started using the low profile K&N Pro Series.

Same problem for me this weekend, I had one go last year too but it was a clean separation so I was able to SuperGlue the top back on. I am not sure which one broke this go around, the one I repaired or the one that has never failed. Either way, the one that separated is not repairable, its all jacked up an are only two years old.

I have a set of the old Tau Cetti's with the Carbon top cap that I have on there now. I need to contact them and get it replaced so I will have a backup when the carbon ones go........

Have you ever seen how much those things vibrate? Just off idle mine turn into a blur; they must be moving 3/4" - 1". I am not suprised they fail so quickly.

Same thing happened to me with a set of Prok's I picked up used in daytona. First ride out and the cone sucked into one of the carbs. The other f/a was almost as bad, and would have failed soon behind.

How long have you had that item? HotProducts said they dont give out TauCeti's number and they are only covererd for one year... I messed up and said its been two years but it has actually been just over one year. HotProducts said there is no way it will be covered.

Someone should start making the Ocean Pro Vortex ones again... The Proks and Tau Cetis are junk. I'll probably just run my stocker from now on.
