well i have been building up my SJ and yesterday i had my first go at flipping it .

hats off to all you guys on here that make it look so bloody easy and iv been watching all the youtube clips and pics to work out how to do it . the misses took some pics and video that after watching i seen where i was going wrong so ill try to land it next weekend .
i cant wait to get back to the surf now and have a real go

The fetal position is the default style we all take at first. Arch your back and pull on the bars for all you are worth. Congrats on having the balls to try.

I thought that was very good for your first try! Looks like you had fun too! I would feel much better if you had a helmet on though, especially while learning.

yes i would have felt better as well , But Angelina want to carry it then left it in the back seat of the car :-{ i didn't realize until we where half way out to the islands in the boat .
don't worry ill be wearing it next time :-}}

Thanks for the post, I feel better and won't worry now. I liked that red and white boat btw, and that looks like a pretty place to ride, so hopefully you post your next try.

Thanks! Will have to look further when less tired, but I really like pic 203!! 14 is totally precious though!!! That bucket of shrimp looks great too (had shrimp for dinner, and now I want more). The pics of Angel in her helmet always make my laugh. LOL Will catch up on the rest later!

I tried my first 2 yesterday as well. About the same result. I was not traveling as fast, plus did not hit the gas as hard on first attempt, just feeling it out. Nice going!

yes i fitted trim 2 weeks ago i got it from Jetmanic , i was going to fast on all my tries and ski went through the lip intend of driving up it . as soon as i saw the video i new what i had done wrong that and not throwing my head back and arching my back , but ill get it next time :-}}}

Cool Shanes great try!!! And if that was your first attempt you'll be nailin 'em soon! The hardest part is sacking up and going for it! What I really want to know is this, What do you do to live in Indonesia? My Wife and I went to Bali on our Honeymoon and we've been in love with the place ever since. Now if I could go there with my ski- that'd be like I've died and gone to heaven!

Nice ! Your will nail it in the surf !!!, it's sooo much easier with a proper wave vs some hole in the water that you have to fit your ski into then a steep little mushy wave with a millasecond to get your pop right on.

i own and run a coal mine in central kalimantan , but im based in the office in Jakarta , its not a bad place to live and they are some very very nice people here
