First time trying any of this. This site rocks as it has made this possible. Probably not perfect, but want to see how it holds up this year. Here are some pics from about 2 weeks ago. I had inadvertantly posted them in the wrong place.

Reinforced with 17 oz Biaxial and added some colorant to the epoxy. Made for a nice finish.

Here are some more pics from a couple weeks ago. Engine is torn down here. I moved the exhaust tube down about 3 inches. Rear exhaust flange was still usable just had to turn it 45 degrees to fit the back of the hull. 1-1/2" check valve installed.

After a couple more weekends of working at it, getting closer. Here is the hull, painted. Needs to be buffed out. The hood mod is complete and painted. Sides are still in a little rough shape from previous hits when this ski was raced. Front Exhaust outlet is installed. Running dual exhaust with X-Metal waterbox. Thanks Pat from X-Metal. I decided to install the bilge outlets on the dash blowing out over the rails at a 45 degree angle. We will see how that works. Looks cool though. Three pissers for the exhaust and head installed with two additional pissers on the dash for footwarmers.

Need to still install the handlepole. Bought a used -2 RN pole from Demo-X. It is in paint now. Cleaned up real nice. Waiting on a pump from Oxnard111. Took mine apart and the veins were trashed. Then I think it will be ready for turf and install the motor. Motor is a rebuilt 61X with all new topend. Drypipe and R&D head. Electrical system was redone by John at Jetskisolutions last fall. Nice job.

Oh yeah, the nose was foamed and glassed in as well. Internal fuel filler mod still to go. Just going to relocate the filler to pick up location and move the pick up to the front where the filler neck used to be. I saw this done on here sometime ago and looked pretty cool.

Thanks Ox. No worries. I am out of town and won't get it until Friday anyhow. Thanks for the pump though. You wouldn't have a RN chinpad laying around would you? Or know what kind would fit a RN pole?

Nope, no extra chin pads. Just gotta keep looking for a stock one, or waterdawg's makes a good looking one, and WaterCraft Factory just starting one that will fit a stock pole.

Another weekend down and getting a little closer. Installed the handlepole. Yes, it is pink. GF had a lot of say in that seeing I originally bought it for her. Also turfed the tray. Not the best, but got better at it after the first side. If it last for a year, I will be happy. I usually returf every year anyhow. Got the pump back on with the trim installed. Those protec cables are a pain. Only thing I can think of that is left is to reinstall the bilge outlets and footwarmers in the tray, install turf on the rails and install the engine. Still waiting for the 0 degree handlebars and the chinpad. If you see anything else I may have missed, let me know.

These are good. Notice the modification I made to installing a butt sniffer. That should come in handy when attempting the BR's.

Nice job! It's make me want to paint my square:purr: :purr:

Thanks. You can get the colorant from US Composites. I just got some from my local hardware store. Colorant is colorant. Same stuff really.
