First batch back for my mild 701CC Daytona surf build....

Cylinder, cases and waterbox kandy blue... pick those up next week.

$330 total for ALL of it.

I like working with clean parts better :Banane09:

Hey Roo, What process? , are they plated? looks great !

Thanks Tem! Ceramic Coated - poor mans chrome and durable.

Nice job Roo, I think that XS1000 will look better!!

I got to look at a FS1 today, I can't wait to get mine.

Yes, I highly agree the XS1000 will look better :beerchug:

But in the meantime, this looks pretty sweet!

I thought you bought that Carbon FS-1 already?

do you know the guy that does it?? Are those prices the going rate or did you get a "hook up" price??

Right down the street from me.

Email them - he responds in the evenings. There ceramic / vibrating machine is so loud it is hard to talk on the phone in there.

I am a returning customer of his, but pretty much everyone gets the same pricing... he quotes you on the spot and sticks to it... never comes back and says "we need more $$$".

Just curious as I doubt I would ever do it....but do you have to prep the pieces in any way before sending them off to him? Or does he blast them or something before ceramic coating?

We've had parts done here in fla, and they didn't look that nice :Eyecrazy:
Thats gonna be :purr: DY

Thanks Pat! Still not as nice looking as Xmetal's machined parts, but they'll do.

All show, not so much go for Daytona for me.

no prep - "here ya go dude". i hate prepping / cleaning parts.

please post pics of cylinder and cases when they come in

For sure.

Pretty but pricey...

i hate scrubbing parts, degreasing, etc. my time is worth more then that. price in this case is just right

I have a good friend that dips chrome. I am taking some parts in soon to see how they come out. He does it for a job, so they should be nice. And CHEAP. LOL
