I've read the threads and topics on shipping, but I think we should come with a firm answer for this because it seems like with a small the SJ might almost fit, but not quite so you need a medium box right? Some people then said that you should use the large box. And I am still wondering if maybe you can even use the small box because people were mentioning the $400+ price for cross country (on average) shipping. The $400+ price if your shipping lets say from Cali to NY would be for the smallest box, so have people used the smallest box?
So lets come up with the 1 single box that everyone should use to ship just the boat (we're talking about Super Jets only). Also give how much space is left around the super jet in each direction, and also how the super jet is placed in the box. This is boat only, nothing else that would take up any more room. But if the most practical sized box and the sized box ur forced to use anyway does allow extra space for other things, beach carts, extras, anything common you might want to squeeze in. But dont worry about anything else beside the ski at first unless the extra space that you have to use is very obvious. The ski may fit perfectly in a certain sized Forward air box, and have no room for anythin else in the box. If thats the case well the mission is accomplished that what we wanted to find out what one box we should use for a Super Jet nothin else no trailer nothin when Shipping with Forward Air. But once thats been found out, we should find out what size box you need to fit in a few extras. How much space you have to work with for extras, and some examples of the extras that could fit in the box weather together or alone.
But for now it should just be one answer, small, medium, or large with some detail and explanation of how everything comes together. Should be real simple. So this way everyone can easily ship there boats, with ease and worry about acquiring a trailer locally if needed, or if a trailer is going to make you have to upgrade your box/price the ;ets not worry about shipping that. We all know that super jets dont necessarily even need a trailer, and at 300 lbs you and your buddies can launch ur boat quite easy if not just as easy if not easier lol just carrying it.
Oh yeah and round nose square nose? They are different weights right the round noses come closer to 300 lbs or pretty much are. But both skis are close enough to 300 lbs on average once being used, just to play it safe and round it up to 350 lbs I'd think. If your suppose to put it on a pallete then add the palletes weight in too. But I have no idea if a pallete would be the best way to go. I heard someone say they pu t a blanket in there under it that sounds ok. Lets come up with a system that everyone can use and ber 100% certain of, and make it a routine. A guy kinda just estimating said to put the weight at 365 to be safe, but every thing he thought was based off of what I told him, and I wasn't totally sure on the measuremeants of the ski and when your not sure in a situation like that you usually just over compensate to play it safe if your not really gonna take some time to figure it out. So yeah! Lets figure this out or if you already know the definite answer.... Say it
