Fire extinguisher compartment cap from a RN

Anyone have one that they would be willing to give away for just the shipping? I got some ideas I want to try in the works and don't want to butcher mine in case it doesn't pan out. :sneaky:

I've got a purple one with no cap.
PM me your address, and I'll fire it off and let you know what shipping was.
It's been taking up space too long.

Yeah, I only need the cap, not the actual container. But thanks for the offer anyway.

Nah, I'm tired of having to take the lid off to drain water out of the compartment so I want to make the lid with holes and metal screening to drain/provide air to dry out when the hood is hung up for storage in the garage, etc. I'd rather have a backup if it ends up crap or breaks.

That sounds like a good idea. If I ever come across an extra one some day I think I'll do the same thing.

You can drill a small hole in the container that will take care of that problem, otherwise.

I want more than a small hole though, well for some things..... :sneaky:

I keep tow rope & etc. in there and if not opened to vent it ends up reaking after a few days. Just a pain to open up and such, if the top is almost all screen or something similar I can just prop and let the focker drain itself with no worries or removing contents. I can do it to mine but figured to ask for a back up before I cut out holes.
