Tell FLCracker about that one. He'll definitely thank you for it.

So when you get make it over to the west coast and ride with the "west coast massive crew"?

Ha ha ha...

Where have I've seen that ski before?:sneaky:

Zip Ties vs. Hose clamps.

I like to use all OEM Yamaha waterline with good quality zip-ties. The ones with the metal clip in it. Don't use the plastic clips. Double loop the zip-tie too. Never had one problem.

Now stiff waterline like GoodYear brands or Riva's line I use clamps. We still have our issues today.:banghead:

i would say use oeitiker clamps they give a true round clamp they wont come off or loosen for sure and you cant tell me the weight can be an issue with that . its all good till a clamp comes off in the surf or a zip tie snaps .or streches

Why no reserve line? Why does everyone take this off?

Mark44

:purr: or not they don't ride the Mississippi do they? it is hard to get towed in with 5 mph current and logs to dodge

I had a zip-tied inlet line come off at Lanier this last year... I just happen to notice that 2 pissers wern't working in teh middle of the lake following a boat...... the line to the manifold came off. I burned the paint off of my manifold it got so hot.

you need to pop in for more tech tips......:hail:

not only will double looping in make it stronger, but EASIER to cut off as well! especially down inside the compartment..ie main line etc..
