Polyester resin will not stick to your hull. Your going to need to use epoxy resin, which you may or may not be able to find locally. If not, uscomposites.com is where a lot of us go, though there are tons of sources.

i get my epoxy resin and cloth from from tap plastics. they have good prices and a good product. their marine epoxy is 4:1 so its easy to mix. on a superjet the bottom deck is smc so you have to use epoxy. im not sure on a kawi 650.

I've used the Fiberglass woven cloth from autozone/walmart before. I like it. Think I'll go with west systems and US composite carbon fiber to do some reinforcing. I might have to get new hardener as that stuff turns dark after awhile. I hate how stuff gets old like that. I hope foam in doesn't go bad either after time...

Foam goes bad, but if you displace the air with co2 or inert gas it will live in the can longer.

aalright ill get the stuff from there. how much stuff should i get then? will it last a while in the unmixed state?? because i want to put foot holds this winter and rienforce it a little in the tray area and the nose and possibly lay some glass under the hull to smooth it out some.

I like West Systems epoxy personally. I have heard it is a rip off and there are cheaper, equal alternatives so I would ask and look around. I broke the entire rear corner off my ski one time and used West Systems to put it back on. I even had a 2ft crack down the hull that leaked water pretty good and made a bandaid out of woven glass cloth and west systems and just slapped it on the outside. Looked terrible but worked for years.

As far as my foam in goes. I think it might be good as I only opened it once about 2 years ago and put the lids back on pretty tight so we'll see. I have noticed that when West Systems hardener goes dark it takes longer to set. We'll see about all this once summer gets here.

okay im looking at the US composites one and was wondering which one should i get? the thin system?? i plan to get the half gallon 4to1 kit when i have some spare cash. and what mat or fiberglass should i use?? Biax? i dont know what im doing material wise i just want to get something decent though.

No "West Marine" chain stores in Cali? It's on the shelf here. But way cheaper at the marine supply.
I know this may not be helpful. But I was curious. This stuff "can't " be that hard to come by.
But there is always another thread about it.

I got the same stuff ( different brand ) from the marine supply here.

I don't know if you have a "fishin' village" type area, but this place services most of the shrimping boats & commercial fisherman etc..
They have many of the same needs as we do.

Maybe try where the commercial fisherman go? Just a thought.

here's a link to our local...
