Talking with Mike at AC Racing we were going to cut base bulkhead out of the pole for the RRP dual breather tubes to fit. After teaching me how to tig weld on some of his scrap for 2 nights he asked me if I wanted to build my own the way I wanted it.
:woot:
It came out pretty good. I went for a straight -2inch pole. It came out good and a few downsides but for my first pole i think it came out pretty good.
his sheet metal bender made only 2 bends in the skin which gave it a trapezoid and bulky appearance.
So i decided to slap on a bunch of Body filler and shape it. I don't think I'm done quite yet but its where I want it for the most part now. I like the pole x10 better.
Other than that the ski is now back at performance fiberglass to have my tubbies glassed on, the bottom of the ski gel coated white, and the handlepole and hood painted black to match the ski... for now.
Projected ETA to the water: next week/weekend
