I believe they have already addressed the issue and the newest version of the pipes are gusseted in the right places. They are not going to rebuild your motor though.

that sux. some of these companies need to quit being such puzzies with their warranties. if I sold someone a part that I constructed, and they contacted me back and told me that it broke in a "well known to break" area, resulting in a complete meltdown of their stuff, I'd be about doing what I could to help them replace what I unwittingly screwed up.

Depending on the stroke you want, could be as soon as you want it.

Top ends in stock, how many do you want?

Brian
I called DASA today and it will be 2 to 4 weeks for the almost 900cc top end, 4 to 6 weeks for a 4mm stroker crank, and 6 to 8 weeks for the 1000cc top end. Just sayin, but when I asked you about Crank Works being behind and you though I was bashing you or whatever. Well I guess what I heard was right!

I have a 12.5" lift, that measures out to 14" on my daily driver. The ticket I got was actually "unsafe equipment". Basically for bumper height.

I also called Factory Pipe and they said to send them my pipe and they would look at it and possibly warranty it, but there was nothing they could do about the engine damage.

No sir,

We normally keep stroker cranks in stock at all times and we always have cranks on order.

When you posted that, we had cranks in stock.

Im not trying to start anything, but 4 to 6 weeks for a crank is a long time.

lol.. dude is like "wtf, they're gonna be 6 weeks out", you're like "no sir, the stuff was in stock when you posted that...."

just the way I read it I guess.

I will s p e l l it out for you then...

At that time, WEEKS ago, he posted that he wanted a crank and CW's said they would be weeks out. I asked what size he wanted and we would ship it to him. He never responded.

Parts take time to build, then heat treat, re-turn or grind after heat treat, vendor bearings/rods, assembly, truing, wleding, everything takes time.

People take things for granted.

"Is DASA taking orders right now? Just wondering if I should put an order in now, so I will have the parts for next year? I heard that DASA's crank builder is 6 months out. Any truth to that?"

I realise that it takes time to build cranks, Im not new to this $hit. The person that told me it would take along time to get a crank from CW is reputable and know in ths sport. From the get go I was just asking questions because of what I heard. You got all defensive about some legit questions. Like I had said in previous post's, I have built alot of projects, from RC cars to Trucks. I have had companies take forever to get parts out, and some get them out realy fast, no matter what the demand or price of the part/s. Maybe I am taking some of it the wrong way, but it sounds like you are insinuating that I dont know what Im talking about and Im not serious about ordering parts. If you are a representation of the company, Im not sure I want to order any parts from DASA.

dude, he is not being an 4ss, he was setting you straight on availability, which is obvious that's what you were confused about, and going on someone elses word that is in no way shape or form affiliated with the company.
I mean you just called someone at a company that buys parts and marks them up to make a profit, and taking their word about crap they obviously know nothing about. wtf?!? if he's "insinuating" that you don't know what you're talking about it's most likely because you don't, based on information you're getting from a second-hand source. this guy is the one that makes the stuff you're trying to by from someone who doesn't...LOL
