So I have had some $hitty luck lately. First i get a ticket in my truck for being to tall, then I get a nail in my tire, then I get kicked off ebay for 30 days because my friend used my ebay account and they deleted all my auctions (141 of them), then today I went to ride my ski today and -

I pulled the hood off to adjust the idle and when I started it up it sounded like I had a rod out. So I went home and pulled it apart. Long story short my factory dry pipe cracked and was spraying/misting water on my flame arrestors and took out my top end and my crank! I have about 10 gallons of gas thru this motor I just built. :17:

The only thing making me feel a little better is I talked to the guy I work with (Tim Z) and he said that he has heard of Factory pipe warrantying pipes.

where exactly did the pipe crack? I wonder if they would compensate you for the engine damage if it was a faulty weld or something.

Its kind of hard to explain, but it cracked kind of on the underside rear, but the crack goes under the lord mount plate that is welded to the pipe.

well, if it's a faulty weld, and it wasn't anything to do with how you had it fastened or anything, call them up and tell them they owe you a new engine.

reagrdless, I would still crawl up their 4sses until they fixed it, or at least beefed up the area of the pipes where they crack....

right..... :slap:
I believe they have already addressed the issue and the newest version of the pipes are gusseted in the right places. They are not going to rebuild your motor though.
