I found this http://www.texasxpark.com/ and am wondering a few things. Why have we not heard of it yet and why is there no pwc racing added to the long list of activities? I posted this on pwct and got 1 reply. I think you guys will be more into it than the pwct crowd. It seems like a great idea and huge opportunity to include pwc racing and even freestyle competition. Any local Texans know more about this X park? I have e-mailed them to inquire about pwc racing possibilities. I specifically said stand up racing and freestyle because of the small sized lake. I'll report back when I hear back.

So any of you Austin locals know more? Fill us in. What a dream place to have coming to you guys even if watercraft are left out. Maybe we can help change that?

Not enough people on a regular basis or not enough as far as having races/special events thrown there or both?

The one in New Braunsfuls is Texas Ski Ranch, the X-Park is suppoused to be twice as big and all around better(espicialy since its 10 miles from my house)

I think more on a regular basis. The lake will be used for Wakeboarding etc on some kind of line(not being pulled behind a boat) I don't think they want a bunch of skis around either

Is the project started yet? Maybe it is completed already? The website doesn't say anything about this or the progress. There is a place similar to this between Houston and Lake Conroe that allows skis but it doesn't have half the amenities this Texas X Park has or will have. I forget the name of the one in Houston.

Good news! I did get a reply about racing and it seems encouraging. Someone from the IJSBA or APBA or even some locals might want to pursue this. Here is the reply I got back in one day.
" Hello Zoltan,

Yes we have met with a few of the jet ski racing associations a while back, and they are interested in hosting races on our 60 acre lake. We would enjoy working with you and your sanctioning bodies for the stand up models as well.

Please let us know how we can assist in this development.

Sincerely, Matt "

I know Scott Frazier from the IJSBA and will e-mail him. Anyone have connections with the APBA?

I got the attention of the President of this place. The IJSBA hasn't replied back to me yet. My thought is to put the IJSBA in direct contact. The President is open to communication. I'm still diggin' the place and the whole concept and would like to see something come of it but I have no authority to take it further. Any help from racers or promoters inside the sport, especially in reg 5 is appreciated.
