I wouldn't write it off as not working after one ride. I suspect it'll grow on you the more you ride it. Lots of guys (myself included) don't like their boats after they install Tubbies. Soon after, you don't want to ride a boat w/o them. Hang in there. Looks really good!:biggthumpup:

I have heard allot of guys with light hull really worry about the weight at first. It does take some getting used to as does any new boat. Look on the up side, you can always add weight........not so easy or cheap to lose the weight. Ski look clean!

I'm sure you will adjust to the ski just fine ENZO.... That thing is so light, it's probably throwing your timing off...

I was gonna say the same thing.:biggrin: You figure if that tank is 1 gallon you have around 8 lbs. of weight. Put a 3 - 5 gallon tank in there and now you're talking between 24 - 40 lbs. worth of gas. That should do the trick.

Def. a sweet ski though. Love the color combo.:woot:

Thanks for the ideas! I am going to put the stock tank and battery in, as well as a longer JD ride plate. The mini tank actually holds 2.5 gallons but with my motor it seemed to only last for about 20 minutes and was going to get swapped out anyways. Might also try shimming the back of the pump down a little.

I had seen an adjustable steering nozle on the PWC site awile back. You could adjust the top and bottom mounting positions with allen screws. That would give me some adjustability on the handling. Anyone seen that nozle before or no where to get one?

Taking it to the beach this weekend. That will be the true test.

1st. Talk with Sergio... I have no doubt that he will take care of U.

2nd. Very light hull

3rd. No front weight (small tank, battery) will make the ski a little crazy. I tested Lenzi's back flip hull... U cannot even ride.

sato engineering (availible thru JSS).....check out the ATP nozzle as well, that may or may not have that function..but the SE does for sure...


be careful shimming that pump.....could be a good way to strip a shaft!!!!

I rode at Pismo today after installing the stock tank and battery. I also installed a longer JD ride plate and added three washers to the back of it.
Problem solved! Ski rails corners now. Yet the nose is still very light when riding down the face of waves or slamming into the small ones. Ski also feels nuetral now when jumping. Still getting use to the light weight. I kept over rotating when doing broncos. The footholds are not my style. They are a little to far back and protrude to far into the tray. Once I went really big on a bronco and got out of shape. I bailed but my left foot was stuck in the hold. I just kept rotating with the ski but I was laying almost strait backwords. Finally got my foot out just before hitting the water! I had done a full 360! Scarry. A little more time on this hull and I am going to love it.

Had a good ride going till I toasted my crank! I think something broke through the bottom of the cases. :banghead:

Paul, I need that Able motor now! :biggthumpup:
