Just look for a nice complete low hour Yamaha 701 motor with carbs and electrics and then add B pipe and prop and you are set.

Lots to do over time as you wish then.

there is a bpipe on ebay right now... watcons also has some for sale... they are all mod chambers though....

Impros has a killer new impeller called the "hooker" when you go to buy that part...

Wow. EBAY has enough right now to build a pretty Frankenstein nice motor. 650 with modded cases and Pro tec 701 cylinder with big fat carb and a B pipe! Sick!

A couple of drop in 701's and 760's in there also. 760's rip!!!!! I have one.

See any more combos?

One thing to remember "don't let your horse power exceed your riding skills"

Mark44

Bingo...........

Honestly, it blows me over seeing people spend 4K on a Lamey, Jetworks, Any Flat Top Bigbore when they can barely ride the non ported 61x cylinder motor setup they have now....

You will make yourself a much better rider by learning to master the power you have now with the 701, and then once you are being limited by your motor, then you start upgrading.........

Just get you a nice 62T/61X Motor (that comes in the 96+ superjets), add a pipe, and prop and just start riding...

GP760's motors bolt directly in. They leave a little to be desired in low end punch but they friggin roar hard.

I have a 760 dual stock 44 with a B pipe. I am curious to try it with a hooker prop and see what happens. I have only run it with my 14.5/18.

You will want 61x electrics and flywheel (they were lighter than 62t) if you got this route.

Nice! Have it shipped right in for lightening and drop it in a motor.

Still better off using a lightened 61x though. Just make sure stator matches flywheel.

nice motors for sale here on X right now too! You could be up and running in 2 or 3 weeks.

It looks like oxnard111 could sell a complete package almost.... bet he would give a deal if you bought multiple parts too... that and a couple other options are in the for sale section...

is that hull reinforced? one thing you may consider doing while you are throwing an engine and stuff together in the next couple weeks is ordering some reinforcing materials from US Composites via online or phone and then reinforcing your ski before you start putting components back in... it would be really easy now if its already gutted.... did anything come with the hull? midshaft? pump pieces? gas tank? waterbox?

and while you are doing that you may consider throwing some footholds in if it does not already have them... if you do that then you will have to get some sheets of padding and turf too... the saga begins...

I just purchased my first superjet hull its a 2001, So i am wondering what is the best suggested engine that I should put in it. I want to use the ski for tricks and just leisurly fun , but I want it to be peppy. I dont want a slow ski. What engine do you guys suggest ,and what electronics do I need to run with the engine.

if you are just getting into the sport do not go out and get some mack daddy engine setup, you will not be able to use it and it will make learning a tad more difficult.

buy a 62t *(dual carb cases) w/ freestyle ported cylinders
get dual 44mm mikuni carbs and manifold from a 760cc motor
get a Factory B Pipe, MSD enhancer, ADA girdled head, tune it and ride.

this setup will provide hours of good fun and will be plenty of power for you.
