electrical box removal ?

trying to remove my e-box and those 3 philip head bolts that hold it on wont budge. is there any trick to removing them? i tried pretty hard to break them loose , but im afraid if i try any harder i might strip them. any advice?
by the way , its on an fx-1 ( not sure if its any different than a sj)

Try a screwdriver bit with a ratchet/extension, that way you can torque it and hold force at the same time. Key is to have the right screwdriver tip, big fat one with a blunt end I think.

I Keep meaning to replace those buggers with socket heads..

Do you mean you are having trouble getting it out of the ski, or seperating the two halves of the ebox itself?

FX-1 electrical boxes are mounted differently than SJ. They use those three holes that are seen in some of the earlier aluminum halves of the box.

Use a hand impact tool or tap a screwdriver with a hammer as you are turning. It is very probable that the stainless has fused to the aluminum and will be tough to get out.

use a hammer drill (or a drill on very low setting) with a well fitting bit. the hammer drill will "break" the bond no problem.
