I'm cool with not being able to edit every where except for the for sale section. Any way we can it back in just that sub forum? It sucks not being able to update you original listing b/c people ask a million times if you still have a part. Pretty pretty please?????

Quote yourself and resond in your own thread.
Duh. I'm know I can do that... but people don't take time to read through the whole for sale thread to see if something has been sold. They just look at the first post, them PM me asking "do you still have xxxxxx?" That is one of the primary reason I don't like selling on PWCyesterday

Yes, I did away with it after 5 minutes or whatever. You can edit the title of the thread almost indefinitely though, so if you sell something, change the title to SOLD. People won't even look at your thread then.

This was a long time coming.

That doesn't work when you have multiple items in one listing... I guess I'll start listing everything separate and clutter the for sale section.

And please explain how you can edit the title? I don't see that function.

The thing I don't like about that is that when people do edit and add/change/delete things - there is way to know what has been changed.

some people mark items sold as "Sold"

some people just remove the items and add new stuff.

it's confusing.

and if there was a problem in the future between seller and buyer - the seller could go in and change a listing to his advantage. I don't know that has happened, but it could.

Why is that? I posted something this am that after thinking about it, i was going to edit it. Not that I really cared that much but I couldn't. I’m curious as to why you did away with the edit button?

It's a diversion I tell ya. Now we all can bitch about this and forget about the other dramas taking place.

Odd, this is probably the first message board I've frequented where the edit feature was removed, but I think it's a good idea. As others have stated, the for sale section is probably the only place it could be an issue.

For those who sell: You don't really need to keep the list 100% up to date. Perhaps replying with individual item updates, then re-posting a new thread when that gets to be too confusing; say 3 or more items have sold/been added. This would make a little extra work for admins since they would need to keep on top of locking/deleting the out of date threads. Just a thought.
