Ed is the man!

It was tough to get a hold of him, I'll say that upfront. It took me over two weeks.

However - once I had him on the horn, he talked.
I called to ask him some questions about some older carbs of his, and he knows right what I am talking about..
I've been fighting with jetting for this single 48 on T cases for two weeks now, never could get it right.
He tells me what to set it to - main, pilot, low screw, high screw, N&S, spring.
I take it to the ramp today, and BAM!!!

Never had to touch anything past what he told me, ran perfect right off the bat. :arms:
I was thoroughly impressed.

The problem was that I could not find any good starting point for a single 48FS on my setup.
I found 49 recommendations, which where at least a 2.0 N&S, 135 pilot, 152.5 main.

I tried all four springs on the 2.0 N&S, pilots from 130-137.5, and main 150.
My problem was never changing the main from the 150 - it felt good on top, so I did not bother
The best popoff (80 g spring, 22 psi or so) and a 137.5 pilot were as close as I got, and it was ********ty.
Ed said to use a 2.3 N&S and 115g spring (21psi popoff), 132.5-135 pilot, and 142.5 - 145 main
I went with 2.0N&S, 80g spring (all I had, same popoff) and 132.5 pilot and 145 main.
Runs like a dream
