When does this come into play? Should I drill and tap the case while the motor is apart?

Dual carbs should have dual fuel pumps. The dual 38's do not, but in the case of the 44's, they do.

So, the answer is yes.

Cool thanks Matt and Slut glad I asked before I finished the case.

Slut,
Hows that motor hit? Did you go with Pro X? Paul is doing my cylinder right now.

Yeah... Pro-X is the only way to go IMO

Paul will be getting my cylinder later this week...

so, here is another question for ya... I'm running a 701cc with a FPP wet pipe, ADA head w/35cc domes... and soon a Magoo ported cylinder. I am planning to run the stock 38's for now until I pick up another set of 44's... do you think that will be a problem?

I talked to Paul about that same thing, he said it would be ok but to really open it up I needed 44,s. Then I lucked out on a set on e bay for 150 bucks so I dont need to use my spare set of 38,s. Do you need a set of 38,s cheep?

And Matt E may have an intake.

I have a SX-R with dual pulse lines (tapped cases) and it worked fine. If I had to do it all over again Id go with the Reed cages from TBM that have the pulse line already installed on it. just fyi.

Actually, I did have my brother-in-law Phill dig around for it. He couldn't find it.
So then I checked my ebay history....I sold that thing in early December for 70 bucks on Ebay.

LOL...I just didn't remember I had already sold it.
Telltale signs of a parts whore, I guess.
Sorry about that.:27:

Awesome, thanks guys. Actually, I have a source for a set of 44's with a riva intake mani, reed spacer and v-force reeds. Maybe I should just change them over and be done with it.

Anyway, thanks for the input.

For whatever it's worth, you can drill & tap for the second pulse with the motor together.

So what's the best, a single 48 or dual 44's? :eek:uttahere:
