got nothing to due with power. i have seen stock boats do this. may have just ben a bad shaft from the start and it just let go. hows the splines look? cook all the grease out of it?

I agree, this isn't about power.
Splines are looking great, there was plenty of grease in there. Why would it cook out?

so you alinement is good. it will cook the grease out if wasnt. must have just ben time to snap. how many hours on it 1000s i bet. lol. i snaped one in my limited blaster a few years ago. couldnt find anything wrong with that one either. tons of hours on it.

I am pretty confident my alignment was decent.
I have run this pump/mid shaft combo for the past 4 years, at least.

I think so. I didn't spend as much money at the gun show today as I'd feared. :biggrin:

148 is way too big for my needs, and 144 is still too big.
If I go mag, it'll be 140.

That much is obvious.
Apparently cast iron street L's in your pump are frowned upon.

Because the guy that I paid money to build me a nice setup recommends a 140 mag for that setup.
