I just got Randy's kit, haven't installed it yet. All I can say is, wow, you sure get a lot for your money! My kit cost $28 and came with the tube of epoxy, as well as the tap. Pretty much everything is there except the drill bitt and wrench. I was impressed.

Sounds good, I'm going to order the kit for sure...just wanted to see one done. I'm interested to hear how much water drains after you drill your pilot holes. Let me know.

I've got a major leak going on somewhere, I drilled the holes for the kit today, got about 1/2 gallon out. But I have a leak around my exhaust flange. It was dripping out of that all day. If that had been properly sealed, I'd bet I'd get a gallon or 2.

Once it's all dry, I'm going to finish the installation, and seal the exhaust as well. Although it seems it's my driveshaft that's leaking the worst. I filled the engine compartment with water and had a steady drip coming down from the shaft.

Hey, that's funny, I blew air in the holes too! It's surprising how much pressure the tray holds that way. I did hear a bubbling sound up in the pump area, but don't have time to investigate, pulling out in 5 hours for the big Polaris gathering at Starved Rock State Park in Utica, IL. Maybe when I get back.

Can somone explain this watcon drian kit? Are you talking about putting a drain in the back of your hull to let some water drain out of your wet foam to avoid defoaming?

Before I cut my tray out for the refoam, I had a couple gallons come out of my ski when I drilled a small hole in the back of the hull. After I cut the tray open, I found a couple voids that were not filled in my the foctory foam, they were actually holding water. I could have just used drain plugs to help keep the foam dry, but without cutting the tray open I never would have found those voids holding water.

FlightRisk i have Watcons drain kit installed. it is kind of a pointless system. you are putting drain holes in because you know that your ski leaks, well why put them in because the foam makes to drain holes clog, and your foam is just getting ruined every time it gets wet. my opinion is if your hull is leaking dont install the drain holes. do it right and cut your tray out and reseal it and refoam it. Watcons drain holes are good if you dont have any foam but if you do have foam they are clogged every time you go to drain it. if you do install the drain holes make sure you install them properly. make sure you seal them, and drill the hole in the correct place. the exhaust side is tricky you pretty much drill the hole right under the exhaust rivet. make sure you have a long drill bit because on the exhaust side you have to drill through the epoxy because you are so close to the exhaust.
