Pancaker, hope you get to feeling better. The SJ is a bit more to get around than the FX was. I had some electrical issues w/ Pauls motor, so I ran the old motor from my FX...with a little more pop from Mr.Magoo...I think I will have a better time of it.

Last time hurt more at first, this one hurts less because there is not to much eardrum left !
I am dizzy today, Balence is really off that that is what scares me the most ! Thanks for asking. I will post up more news later !

It took a few weeks to get the water all out though. The doctor will give you antibiotics (drops) and that pretty much all they can do... The biggest deal is you must keep your ear dry... I had to ride in that o-side competition when mine was busted... it sucked to have to compete w/ one good ear. It really messes w/ you. Not to mention having to cram all kinds of ******** in your ear just to ride... not fun, not cool, wear a helmet w/ GOOD ear protection... I had a helmet on w/ ear protection when I popped mine... The vent on the side let water through... if i had not had a helmet on I would probably be deaf now... I hit very hard from high up on a backflip slightly underrotated (went in like a lawn dart)... It was a huge wave day 10-12ft and Johnny Havell came out to ride... needless to say, we were going off as big as we could... I bet that flip was 25ft+... I just remember looking down going holy sh*t this is gonna hurt. then turned my head and POP... all I could hear was loud ringing and blood was commng out of my ear..... I am surprised I didn't get knocked out... I was totally knocked silly though... I swam around grabbed my ski and tried to figure out what planet I was on... It literally took me 5 min to figure out what where I was and why I was out there... Finally someone came up next to me and was like "are you ok"?? and they pulled me in
