had a very fun surf day this morning. surf was great. 4-6 footers at 8-10 second delay.

Got a little overzealous and started flipping in shallow water and drilled the nose. Then I had the big clamp for the factory pipe chamber snap and the chamber popped off. Killed the motor then it was all over.

Time for some glasswork.

That's one unhappy looking square nose! Time for some killer front "fill" work!

No engine damage. Got it running five minutes after it got towed back to the beach. Waterbox is behind 8 inches of stock nose foam.

I poured a bunch of two stroke oil down the carbs while running once I got it home an flushed out just for good measure. Plenty smoky for the neighbors.

If my damn hose clamp for the pipe coupler didn't snap I wouldnt have had any of this trouble. Could have broken the nose off at home instead of yanking it off with a rope trying to tow.

it will be back to normal squarenose shape but stronger.

Pics of the repair to follow this coming week.

The top and bottom decks on this ski are so flimsy now that the bond rail is gone. It was the only thing offering any strength.
