Do superjets porpose like kawi standups?

i can't take the porposing of my 650sx anymore. :banghead: i'm fed up. i know there are a bunch of mods i can add to reduce or lessen this problem, but i'm figuring i should just save myself the hassle and get a superjet.

so do superjets porpose like kawi standups?

thanks for your help.

It's a technique issue for the most part.
If you're having this trouble with your SX, buying a SJ will not magically fix the problem

That said, the SJ is a much better ride than the SX

riding more forward in the tray usually reduces porposing for me!!!!

adding a pump wedge if there isn't one there already....

None of the above... its just something you learn over time. Those things might help lessen the learning curve, but really all it takes is practice. how the hell else would the "D-cut" rideplate even be rideable??? Theoretically a ski should porpoise like crazy with a shorter than stock plate - yet many people use them...
Practice.

EXACTLY!!!

i get down low and off the back
it holds the nose up adds speed and stops porpisoing

contrary to what you may think, this actually works very well on superjets...
on your 650sx, it will be easier to keep the ski from porpousing with a full tank of gas... once the ski starts porpousing you cant stop it unless you slow down and start going again, it gets momentum...

get an sxr

Stop contradicting yourself. Have a full tank does exactly what pushing forward on the bars does. It pushed the nose down and allows the ski to hook up through the low to mid ranges where porpoising is the most trouble.

i have found that a superjet likes to do this more than my old 750 sx

\but as stated with practice and positioning it can be minimized

With a bit of practice, one should be able to get up to full speed and go full speed on a stock rideplate (or cut stock!) without much porpoising.

My SJ with stock ride plate porpoises much less and is much easier to 'flatten out' than my SXIPro was, which had a shimmed up extended ride plate. It may be because the SJ has a -3 pole so I can ride further up in the tray comfortably.

Even my SXR with a TBM ride plate and a shortened pole will bounce a little when I put a full tank of gas in it. I prefer to ride it between 1/3 to 2/3 of gas.
