do scuppers leak that bad? i dont intead to let the ski float for an hour in the water! but will it sink if im fueling up or talking to someone real quick??

i have only been on a ski that had a xft scupper an it did not leak at all but think the xft is some what of a high breed of a one way an a scupper!

im maybe going with the skiclincs scupper not sure

i run a scupper and no bilges...no problems at all...if you stop to break or w/e
but i usually hold it shut when it comes to that just to be sure
alll of them leak to be honest..ive seen a blowsion let water in
but as for letting water out...no worries and a dry hull..so no splishy splashy!!:wiggle:

If I'm sitting in my tray in deep water it doesn't leak. However, if its floating with no weight to keep the water tension on it, it will take on quite a bit. I wouldn't leave my ski floating for longer than 15 minutes without having the bilge pump on.

I've been working on "add ons" to eliminate this...

with your flap it wants to bend one way and become loose the other way and dangle open
just flip all the hardware to the other side and it says shut for the most part...ive got an xmw btw

as for when there is weight on the boat yea i believe that might be true
but once i am off it goes right in

Add a one-way valve in there plus the scupper. No water coming in at all.
3 hours tied to a dock later the bilge was bone dry.

That's what I am going to do next refoam. I have a 24/7 and it leaks a little. I would not trust it for more than 15 min floating alone with waves. I have had it in a cove floating and it was not bad at all. the waves tend to make it worse. but then again, the physics of it all makes that true.

a scupper won't break-free like a bilge....ive had a hard time recently with bilge pumps not staying

i had my tied to a no swim bouy on a wavy day.. it normaly doesent leak but the constant hitting of the waves must have done it to the ski and scupper. i love having a scupper.. ive rode bilgeless all summer and only a scupper and have had no real big issues . now i have both and its perfect

after i re-installed the new flap in my scupper, it doesnt leak at all. Just make sure you dont have it tightened too much or it will keep the flap open a little bit.
