Hey I was wondering if there was a way to disable the lanyard kill switch. I'm asking because its gunked up and won't work and I want to ride while I wait for a new one. Before anyone asks why would I want to get rid of the kill switch?
I don't use a stop anyway I've been through 3 s/s switches this year and everyone the stop breaks and causes it to engage so I just disconnected it and lowered the idle to where the ski would just die after about 4 secs. Perfect for being in the air

Disconnect the white and black connectors at your ebpx. That is the stop circuit. Make sir and turn down the idle if it's set up.

There is a metal disc on the start stop portions of the switch that can get some buildup that will cause the buttons to stop working, clean them off and usually your good to go......... As far as the Lanyard part, I have never had or seen that part of a switch go bad. Just bypass that part of the switch, all it does is ground out the circuit just like the stop switch does.........

you can zip tie it!
not recommended, but you can get a new set of switches for $60 plus shipping
so why risk your ski/life/liability?

Well turns out after I cleaned the switch completely and had it working perfectly my UMI decided to chew up my wires because I forgot to zip tie it in a safe place FML

If you disable the kill switch all you have to do is turn the idle down so it shuts off when you let off if the throttle
