Direction of b-stock diamonds?

Does it matter (much) what direction you cut the tray mat out of the b-stock sheet? What direction should the "diamonds" have to give best traction?
Doing it the other way around, will it be slippery?

most people go left to right lengthwise from front to back of tray, but I cant say either way is less 'slippery'

While in the thread, have a question, does each sheet of turf come with underpad? Where does the underpad come from?

is there a really cheap material like the HT underpad that I can get at Home Depot or something? 80 bucks looks kinda steep...

goto a hunting camping kinda store.

look for sleeping pads for sleeping bags. i went to a gander mountain and bought a roll of the pad with is pretty thick around 9/16's maybe. it was 9 bucks. just make sure the foam padding is closed cell so it doesn't absorb water.

That came out harsher than I intended...
But, yeah I'll follow your recommendations. It's a drag I already did the raw cut out of the sheet. Oh well, I have screwed up worse before....

I put my diamonds length wise, it looks better in my opinoin as it mactches the direction of the rails and tray sides.

Why can't you have the rails and tray sides go left to right also? Thats the way I did mine and it looks great and matches the bottom of the tray for those that really care about it matching.

Then the rails would have to have vertical diamonds, and the B sheets arent wide enough to cover as much rail, plus it bends easier.
If you're wearing shoes, you won't be able to tell the difference.

I was able to do my whole tray, rail caps, and sides with one sheet of turf and all my diamonds run left to right.
