Well. I'll be wearing shoes for sure. Might use that piece of turf after all then. I'll see.
That makes it easier to cut the turf for my X2 then. The sheet is not long enough to cover the tray in one piece if the diamonds must go "east/west" and I rather have one piece than "the x-h2o-approved" direction...:cool2: :hail:

I ran mine north south, to match the rest of the ski and I wear asics and I could not tell a differance than when I ran it West east. I just wanted the diamonds to go the same way. Nice clean look. Of course now it is all trashed but it looked good for a while. haha

I was able to do my whole tray, rail caps, and sides with one sheet of turf and all my diamonds run left to right.

Including the rails? I cant imaging anyone having their rails turfed with the diamonds going up and down, it wouldnt think it would bend as easy and stay put with such a small piece.
I dont disagree with the fact that it cant be done, but in my case I would have had to make more cuts, since the sheet of Turf was longer than it's width.

Yes including the rails. I also don't have any cuts to wrap around the rails either. It is all one sheet without any cuts that covers the inside of the footholds, the sides, and the rails.

A little thing called HEAT makes that possible.

Here is a picture of my turf showing all of the diamonds running left to right with no cuts. Unfortunately I can't take credit for the turf job. Crammitt442 helped me and it definitely wouldn't have turned out that way if I did it without him.

Basically it took one sheet and 4 pieces cut from that sheet to do the whole tray. The four pieces cut were the bottom of the tray, the front of the tray(where the primer, fuel selector, etc, is), and the two sides/rails.

It can definitely be done and looks good when everything matches including the chinpad.
